- Dr. Melissa Schaal
Dr. Melissa Schaal graduated from the University of Minnesota College Of Veterinary Medicine with honors in 1992. She has experienced a variety of things in her career starting out as a mixed animal practioner and treating all things great and small. She has worked on ostriches and other exotics ranging from rabbits to llamas. Today she focuses on companion animals treating mainly dogs and cats, but maintains a strong interest in exotic animals.
Dr. Schaal is married with two boys. The family dog, Rocky, thinks he should be able to everywhere. The family is active in the community, school activities and their church.
Our Certified Veterinary Technician:
Jenn Befort graduated from Argosy University in 2002. She has been a dedicated employee at Lake Pepin Clinic & Hospital since October 2002. Jenn grew up with pets surrounding her. She enjoys caring for and spoiling animals, especially her dachshund Chloe, her Chihuanhuas and her cat. Her love of animals is evident in the care she takes in her patients; always treating each one with the care she gives her own pets.
Our Veterinary Assistant:
Jamie Guthrie grew up around horses, raising, riding and breeding horses. Today they still are a passion, once a horse lover, always a horse lover. Jamie has worked many years in veterinary clinics providing nursing care and reception work. She is currently studying to earn her certified veterinary technician degree while working in the Clinic. Jamie prides herself in providing excellent care.
Our Receptionist:
Marge Dunbar is a dedicated animal lover. She is a friendly caring receptionist always ready to answer questions or lend a helping hand. Her passion has been her dogs, raising Yorkies and Shih Tzu Dogs since 1978.
Judy Hagen
Our Groomer:
Judy Hagen works magic with the dogs and cats she grooms. Judy has an incredibly gentle and calm hand, which allows her to beautifully groom her clients. Judy has over 20 years of experience.
